Our founder, Steven Zaborowski, identified a crucial gap in the market – a reliable source for hard-to-find electrical parts. From those humble beginnings, our journey took us to our current home on Victory Blvd, a thriving shop that has become a trusted resource for electricians throughout the NYC area. Our Founder
Steven Zaborowski started Select Equipment in 1993 selling hard to find electrical equipment out of his basement. Eventually he opened our current location on Victory Blvd in Staten Island NY. Over that time Select Equipment has helped provide obsolete equipment to multiple industrial plants, universities, and hospitals. From his hard work, Steven had successfully brought a unique supply house to the NYC market by stocking older equipment that other supply houses typically do not stock. Steven sadly passed in 2017. His unique business and his legacy continues from his son Zachary and his wife Debbie.
Today
Zachary Zaborowski has continued his father Steven’s legacy by continuing to operate Select Equipment. He worked many summers with his father. When Steven sadly passed he stepped up as President while in college in 2017. During this challenging time he was able to continue day to day operations of Select Equipment. Recently graduating from college in 2021 he has a new focus on expanding Select Equipment into new markets while continuing to serve the New York/New Jersey markets. He looks up to his father and keeps the vision of Select Equipment that Steven had.
